Refund & Cancellation

1. Digital Service Policy

Vakilpedia sells digital services: paid plans and credit packs for apps such as CaseLinx, CourtQue, SignLinx, EvidenceHash and Affidavit Maker. Because they start working the moment you pay, refunds follow the simple 7-day rule below.

This policy covers purchases made from Vakilpedia. It does not cover the Vakilnama book, which is bought from Amazon — see section 4.

2. Cancellation Policy

You can cancel your subscription at any time using the following methods:

  • On WhatsApp: Send the command STOP to immediately cease all automated alerts.
  • Monthly AutoPay: In your Vakilpedia Account, open Plan and cancel there; or cancel the AutoPay mandate from your UPI app. Either way, no further monthly payment is taken. Your plan stays active until the end of the month you have already paid for.
  • Yearly plans: A yearly plan is a one-time payment for 12 months. It does not renew by itself, so there is nothing to cancel.
  • Manual Cancellation: Reach out to us at info@vakilpedia.com to terminate your account.

Note: Cancelling stops future renewals and alerts. A payment can be refunded only under the 7-day rule or the exceptions in section 3.

3. Refund Eligibility

7-day refund. Ask within 7 days of any payment for a plan or credit pack and we will refund it in full, less the value of any credits or services already used from it (valued at the price you paid for them). Email info@vakilpedia.com with your payment reference.

After 7 days, payments are not refundable, with two exceptions where we refund in full:

  • a service outage on our side lasting more than 48 hours; or
  • a double payment caused by a technical fault.

These rules are in addition to any refund the law requires, and match section 23 of the Vakilpedia Universal Terms.

4. The Vakilnama Book — Refunds Are Handled by Amazon

Vakilnama is sold and delivered by Amazon, not by Vakilpedia. We do not take payment for the book and hold no order for it, so we cannot cancel a purchase or issue a refund for one.

Refunds, cancellations, billing queries and download problems for the book are handled by Amazon under Amazon’s own policy, from your Amazon account. See the Vakilnama book terms.

5. Processing Time

Approved refunds are processed within 5-7 working days and will be credited back to the original payment source (UPI/Card/Netbanking) via our payment partner, Razorpay.

6. Free Trial and Unpaid Accounts

  • The free trial is not a payment. You pay nothing, give no card and set up no AutoPay, so there is nothing to refund when it ends.
  • CaseLinx, if you do not subscribe: when the trial (or a paid plan and its grace days) ends, your account turns read-only for 7 days. You can still view and download everything. If you have not subscribed by the end of those 7 days, your CaseLinx case data (cases, clients, documents list, hearings, invoices, tasks, Vakalatnamas and notes) is permanently deleted. You can download your data at any time before then.
  • What is not deleted: your Vakilpedia login, Vakilpedia’s own payment and tax records, and your other Vakilpedia apps.
  • CourtQue and VakilCard: after the trial you move to the free plan or the free card. Nothing is deleted.
